Conditional Formatting MS Excel

MS Excel
Conditional Formatting.
Today I’m going to tell you how to use Conditional Formatting on MS Excel.
When we are using a big Excel file we can’t see whole details at once. So Excel has many features to make the work easy. Conditional Formatting is a very useful option in Excel. Let’s see what are the things we can do with this option. I’ll explain briefly and you will be able to learn your self then.
Let’s go…..
1.Highlight anything we need in file.
Example 1: If we need to highlight cells that duplicates,

Go to Conditional Formatting on home menu.   ->  Highlight cell rules  ->  Duplicate values.

Then a window will appear. You can select highlight options there. Colour, font options, cell options.

Example 2: if we need to highlight past dates

Go to Conditional Formatting on home menu.   ->  New rules

Then a new window will appear. You should select  Format only cells that contain as rule type. Then select following under format only cells with

Cell value

less than

=NOW()    give this formula

Next in the format menu you can select highlight options as you did before.

There on you can try doing conditional format yourself. It’s easy to understand it. Try this. This is very interesting.
